What Some People Call Healthy!

It is no wonder so many people today struggle with weight loss.  The average person has no idea what a healthy diet looks like and that’s not their fault.  For years, doctors and dietiticians have been giving weight loss advice that put the entire focus on low fat and total calorie intake.  They would tell you that a glass of fat-free chocolate milk was healthier than a glass of whole milk.  Did they ever wonder why God made whole milk, then?  I mean, if He created this food for us why didn’t he just have the cows produce fat free chocolate milk?

I believe that deep down all of us know that the healthiest foods are the ones that God created.  Eating whole foods as close to natural as possible makes sense.  Especially when you consider that the more processed our food supply has become, the fatter our society has gotten.  This is not a coincidence.  Ever since they have put hydrogenated oils and high-fructose corn syrup into everything we eat the obesity rate has skyrocketed.  The fat free craze of the eighties and nineties has made us fatter than ever.

This blog is going to focus on weight loss using primarily foods that are what God gave us and intended us to eat.  Whole grains, healthy fats, fruits and lots of vegetables.  And plenty of water to drink.  It’s time we stopped letting the processed food companies dictate our health and took responsibility for it ourselves.  Sure, it may take a little time out of your day to prepare the food, but the energy you gain will more than compensate for this and you will be able to get more accomplished and feel better about life.

See you tomorrow!
