Should You Use Diet Products?
I have been talking a lot about using real, whole foods as part of a healthy diet and weight loss plan, but there are so many ads out there that claim there is scientific proof that this product or that product increases your weight loss and helps you be more successful at keeping it off. Are these claims true? Do you need these products to lose weight?
Some of these claims actually are true. There are some weight loss products and diet products that actually can help you to lose weight and keep it off. But, there is always a trade off. These products usually aren’t cheap and you have to decide whether losing 20% more weight or losing it 20% faster is worth the cost. Also, there are times when a person’s system is so “out of whack” that even their best diet and exercise efforts fail miserably and leave them fatter and more depressed than ever. In a case like this, some good weight loss products including a metabolism booster and a healthy herbal appetite suppressant may be just the boost you need to succeed for a change.
It is important not to get suckered in by a good marketing campaign and really weigh out the possible benefits of weight loss products and diet products before you spend your money. Beware of outrageous claims, you aren’t likely to lose 10 pounds or more each week (and that isn’t healthy anyway).
If you focus on eating healthy whole foods and use only weight loss products and diet products that are safe, natural and proven effective that fit into your budget (if any) you should be just fine. And of course, don’t forget to exercise at least a little almost every day!
There really is no totally safe diet aide out there. They all have something that could cause some sort of damage or side effect.
Marie:
I understand your sentiments, but wholeheartedly disagree. There are many herbs that are safe and effective for weight loss. The problem is that there are many companies who market products that use herbs in amounts that are unsafe and you don’t always know how much they are even using.
It is important to do your research before using any product and to keep your guard up when they make outrageous claims.
I fell for some of these things in the past and wound up passing out from the “metabolism boosters” that were supposed to give you more energy and help you eat less. Well, I had more energy, all right, and I barely ate at all. Not such a good thing, really.
